MBJFC has a Streaming Policy which is aligned with the SMJFL team selection and grading guidelines. In short, where we have multiple teams in age groups for U14 Girls and above, our club assigns players to different teams based on many factors.
Players, parents and families of 2020 U14 Girls teams are invited to attend a short briefing on this process by MBJFC President Paul Groves and MBJFC Match Committee Chairmen Chris Mutimer and Ash Orchard on Tuesday 13th August at 6.30pm at the Walter Galt Clubrooms.
During this session, we will provide you with an overview on how MBJFC goes about this process before it begins for season 2020 and answer any questions you have regarding the process.
In June 2019, the MBJFC ratified a decision to begin streaming our Mixed team players from U12s to bring us into line with the SMJFL’s recommendations.
Whilst MBJFC streams for U12 Boys and above, MBJFC has chosen not to stream our U12 Girls teams, and these teams are based more on age (10-11 years old and 11-12 years old), because of the SMJFL’s age group set up for girls whereby girls can play U10, U12, U14, etc. While this meeting is for players moving into the U14 Girls age group, families of players remaining in U12 Girls next year are also welcome.
There will be a second session early in the new year before the season commences to provide all players, parents and families with any further updates that the SMJFL may introduce during the off-season.
These sessions have proven to be invaluable in the past, ensuring all applicable players and their families hear the same information and have the opportunity to ask any questions about the process.
We look forward to seeing you at the session on Tuesday 13th August at 6.30pm.
Paul Groves – MBJFC President
