Insurance

Commencing in 2026, all players registered with Mordi-Brae are provided the Platinum level of personal injury cover through the Australian Football National Risk Protection Program, which is incorporated as part of your SMJFL & Club Registration fees.

It is important to note, this cover is not comprehensive, and we strongly recommend you consider your own personal needs, including any need to procure additional cover (e.g Private Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Loss of Income insurance, Ambulance subscription) where appropriate.

Legislation stipulates that any costs which can be claimed in full or part through Medicare, including the Medicare gap, cannot be reimbursed by the personal accident cover under the Australian Football National Risk Protection Program.

  2. Following your online claim lodgement, Marsh will email you three separate Declarations that need to be completed and signed by your club, your treating physician and/or your employer.
  3. The Declarations can be printed and filled in manually or emailed straight to the relevant person for them to print, complete and return to the Insurer on your behalf.
  4. Once your claim has been processed, you can then start adding your expense receipts to the claim – this can be ongoing and continuous, if it’s for the same claim.
